Let’s come together as a community of mothers. This half hour is here for you to get supported and share what challenges and even victories you are experiencing during this unprecedented time. Mothering is always hard, always chaotic and even rewarding, but right now we are stretched beyond anything we have experienced before. Give yourself a half hour to express and be buoyed to keep fighting the good fight.

Because we are all mothers. Whether we mother our careers, our pets, our relationships, our dreams, or all of the above, we all mother. It’s not only those who have children. In fact, the most important person we mother is ourselves.

We will bust some of the common myths we deal with all the time but are particularly prevelant right now!

  • There is a “right” way to mother (or, there is a “right” way to get through this pandemic.)
  • It’s the mother’s job to put the needs of her children and spouse before her own (or, it’s selfish to take care of myself right now.)
  • Motherhood provides a built in community who support her in her mothering (or, we’re all going through this together, so I shouldn’t feel alone)
  • Expressing any fear, hurt, or anger around my children will affect them negatively (or, there are bigger things happening in the world, so I’m not allowed to be sad.)

We’ve all been experiencing these myths during this unprecedented time, which is why community is more important than ever right now.
